Madam/ Dear Sir,

Re-organisation of districts in the NCT of Delhi – Assignment and Review of Lead Bank Responsibility

The Government of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi has notified re-organisation of districts in the NCT of Delhi vide Gazette Notification No. F.223/ SDM-II (HQ)/ Land/2025/285 dated December 25, 2025, whereby three new districts, viz., Old Delhi, Central North and Outer North have been formed and Shahdara district has ceased to exist.

2. Lead Bank responsibilities in the newly created districts have been assigned as follows:

1. Old Delhi Canara Bank 03E (to be read as ‘Numeral Zero, Numeral Three and Alphabet E’)
2. Central North State Bank of India 03F (to be read as ‘Numeral Zero, Numeral Three and Alphabet F’)
3. Outer North Punjab National Bank 03G (to be read as ‘Numeral Zero, Numeral Three and Alphabet G’)

3. Lead Bank responsibilities of some of the existing districts in the NCT of Delhi have been reviewed, consequent upon re-organisation and stand modified as follows:

4. As Shahdara district has ceased to exist, the Lead Bank responsibility notified in respect of the district vide circular RPCD.CO.LBS.BC.No.12/02.08.001/2013-14 dated July 11, 2013 as follows, stands revoked:
